Jay Baughan began his career in 1983, where at just 17 years old he cut his leadership teeth in the British Army. He trained and travelled extensively, experiencing new cultures, large scale demanding operations and navigating ambiguous situations and environments. At such a young age Jay quickly developed a keen eye for detail and the "human touch" - learning to be both adaptable and resilient during constant change.
In 1988 he left the army, commencing what was to be 20 years of operational, commercial and executive leadership experience working within the areas of; retail logistics, wholesaling, parcels, management consulting, eGrocery and supply chain.
During this time Jay not only designed and implemented Change, Improvement & Turnaround initiatives within highly populated, service driven environments, but also led complex technological and process design projects, managed multiple business unit structures and the rationalisation of National operations; including down-sizing, mergers and start-ups. In 2006 he made the disasterous decision to accept the offer to get involved with and to lead a Management Buy Out of a multi-million turnover business.
In 2008, following a disasterous 2-years and seeing it fall into administration, Jay had lost everything and was bankrupt. Being a resilient and self-reliant person, he decided to take a new path and to train in what he found he enjoyed and understood the most - PEOPLE.
Starting with Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) he certified as a Practitioner and became a specialist consultant working with old industry contacts. He quickly created a very specific Facilitating and Intervention provision, centred upon knowing that Change Management, Turnaround and Improvement relied upon winning Hearts & Minds and he was able to deploy a range of NLP methodology and techniques to deliver potent and tangible elicitation, engagement and intervention solutions.
Since 2008 Jay has established an international activity and extensive network within; Europe, APAC and Africa, he continues to train in the areas of; NLP, EQ, Strategic Intervention and Facial Expressions (METT) to develop his insight and specific set of skills. .
